Khal Shariff, CEO of Project Whitecard, happily accepted yet another award today. This time it was a STEM Award from the Federal Labratory Consortium in the United States. STEM is an acronym for science, technology, engineering and mathematics, which are the areas that NASA Learning Technologies focuses their efforts on developing. The FLC awarded Project Whitecard for their outstanding work with NASA in the Astronaut:Moon, Mars and Beyond™ project.
Astronaut:Moon, Mars and Beyond™ is the official NASA MMO (massively multi-player online) game. Set in the year 2035, players embark on an adventure into space, Mars, the asteroid belt, and the outer planets. They can uncover secrets about a threat to civilization as we know it, and build themselves and their team a high-tech inventory of space gear including a home base, somewhere out there.
